A Christian girl embraced Islam by reciting the shahada during a lecture by renowned religious preacher Dr Zakir Naik in Faisalabad.
Indian Muslim scholar Dr Zakir Naik, currently visiting Pakistan at the invitation of the Government of Pakistan, spoke at an event organised for him in Faisalabad.
During the event, a Christian girl named Samreen expressed interest in converting to Islam to the prominent religious orator.
Responding to Samreen's wish, Dr Zakir Naik asked, “Do you believe in the oneness of God?” She replied, affirming her belief that "indeed, Allah is one."
Dr Naik then asked her if she believed that Muhammad is the last messenger of Allah, to which Samreen also responded affirmatively.
Samreen then declared her acceptance of Islam in the midst of a huge crowd, emphasising that her decision was entirely her own and made without any external pressure.
The woman shared that she was inspired to embrace Islam by the Muslim community around her.
Following Samreen’s declaration, Dr Zakir Naik guided her through the recitation of the kalma, as the crowd responded with chants of Allahu Akbar.
