CM Maryam has adopted modest lifestyle and now wears normal clothes, says Azma

Punjab government spokeswoman Azma Bukhari has said that Maryam Nawaz Sharif has adopted a modest lifestyle since assuming the role of Chief Minister, opting for simple and ordinary clothes.

In an interview with a private news channel, Azma emphasised, "Maryam Nawaz wears normal clothes, whereas her other clothes are old and date before the February 8 general elections.”

Earlier, on the same news channel, the provincial spokesperson said that "Maryam Nawaz wears clothes worth 700-800 rupees".

Maryam frequently attracts attention for her fashion choices and style on various occasions, often becoming a target of criticism from opponents who allege her indulging in luxurious products or wearing extravagant outfits 

However, Azma disclosed that since her election as the first-ever female Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam has shown a preference for simpler clothing. 

"I didn't say she doesn't wear branded clothes, she prefers simple clothes now," the minister clarified.

She dismissed unnecessary criticism, saying "CM Maryam could dress however she wants without needing anyone’s approval.

"It is CM Maryam's performance that should be discussed," she concluded.
