PTI founder Imran Khan has urged the masses to come out in large numbers on September 21 to make the party's rally a success.
During his conversation with journalists at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Imran Khan pointed out that the government plans to give an extension to Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, allegedly to remove him from the apex court and place him in the constitutional court.
He emphasized that these actions were part of a broader attempt to dismantle the Supreme Court, stating that the government's proposed amendments are designed to weaken the judiciary and democracy.
Khan further urged PTI workers and the public to protest against these moves and called for participation in the planned PTI rally in Lahore on September 21, promising it would be historic.
He encouraged people not to fear jails, stating that the protest was a fundamental right, and if the government tried to suppress the rally, the masses would respond by filling jails.
Imran Khan also criticized those political leaders who once advocated for "respecting the vote" but are now supporting the amendments.
He stressed that democracy relies on moral strength, not force. He alleged that both Qazi Faiz Isa and the Chief Election Commissioner were complicit in rigging the elections and failing to uphold justice.
