'Drug queenpin' Pinky's brother handed over to police for questioning

A Karachi court on Monday remanded Kamran, the brother of alleged drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky, in police custody until July 21 in two narcotics cases.

The Jamshed Quarters police produced the suspect before the Judicial Magistrate (East) at the City Courts after his arrest.

According to the investigating officer, police allegedly recovered more than 2 kilogrammes of hashish and 500 grams of crystal meth (ice)** from Kamran's possession. The poce said that the suspect was involved in supplying hashish, crystal meth and heroin in different parts of Karachi.

The investigating officer informed the court that Kamran was a habitual offender who has previously served jail time in drug trafficking cases.

The police said that two narcotics cases have been registered against the suspect at Jamshed Quarters police station, while further investigation is under way.
