A senior citizen from Faisalabad's Khanpur, Pir Imtiaz Haider Shah, has achieved the remarkable feat of completing the world’s largest handwritten Quran after 425 days of dedicated effort.
This unique manuscript is currently on display, drawing significant attention.
The monumental Quran measures 41 feet in length and approximately 8.5 feet in width, consisting of 31 pages bound in two volumes.
The manuscript is uniquely designed using four colors: black for Quranic verses, red for translations, green for diacritical marks, and blue for decorative borders.
A two-day exhibition of the handwritten Quran was held in various schools and colleges in Khanpur. Students, teachers, families, and local residents visited in large numbers to view and honor this extraordinary accomplishment.
Pir Imtiaz Haider Shah shared that he began this project on the 13th of Rajab and completed it on the 27th night of Ramadan, reflecting the spiritual significance of these dates.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to undertake this labor of love, which spanned over a year.
The aim of displaying this extraordinary manuscript across the country is to inspire young people and emphasize the significance of the Holy Quran in their lives.
