The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three suspects during raids targeting a network allegedly involved in forged immigration documents, passport tampering, illegal overseas employment and human smuggling in Karachi.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi carried out the raids on the directives of the FIA Karachi Zone director.
Acting on intelligence, FIA teams raided offices in Gizri and DHA Phase V, where they seized a large quantity of fake and suspicious immigration records.
The recovered material included forged driving licences, counterfeit Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) stickers, fake employment agreements, forged immigration and travel documents, tampered passport pages, letterheads of various travel agencies, several Pakistani passports and other records allegedly used in illegal overseas employment and human smuggling.
The FIA said forensic examination of the seized record is underway, while efforts are being made to identify other members of the network. Further arrests are expected.
