Former SSP’s son kills friend for eating his girlfriend’s zinger burger in Karachi

In a bizarre yet tragic incident, a young man in Karachi's Defence Housing Authority (DHA) allegedly shot dead a close friend for eating a Zinger burger that the accused ordered for his girlfriend, police revealed on Wednesday. 

According to the investigation by the police, the shooter was identified as Daniyal Nazeer Mir Bahar, who is the son of former Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Nazir Ahmed Mir Bahar and the 17-year-old victim Ali Kerio was the son of a Karachi District South sessions judge.

The incident unfolded on February 8th, when Daniyal, who lives in DHA Phase V, invited his girlfriend, Shazia, to his house. Ali Kerio and his brother Ahmar Kerio were also present at the time.

The accused had ordered two Zinger burgers for himself and his girlfriend. However, Ali reportedly ate half of one burger, which infuriated Daniyal.

In a fit of rage, Daniyal reportedly seized his security guard's assault rifle and fired at Ali, who succumbed to his gunshot wounds while being shifted to the hospital.

After completing his investigation, the officer submitted a report to his seniors, which implicated the cop’s son. 

The culprit is currently imprisoned and the trial proceedings will continue in court.
