Gold hits another all-time high in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan climbed to a fresh record on Saturday, following a sharp rise in the international bullion market.
In the domestic market, the price of gold jumped by Rs6,500 per tola, taking it to a new all-time high of Rs521,162, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10 grams of gold also moved higher, increasing by Rs5,573 to settle at Rs446,812.
The latest surge came a day after gold had already posted a strong gain on Friday when the per-tola rate had risen by Rs9,100 to close at Rs514,662.
In the international market, gold prices saw a notable jump of $65, reaching $4,988 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Silver prices also followed the upward trend, with the metal gaining Rs526 per tola to hit a record Rs10,801, marking its highest level so far.
