Renowned religious scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani praised Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori for his initiatives benefiting the common people, stating that he revived a tradition of the second Caliph Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA).
Mufti Taqi Usmani made these remarks while addressing students enrolled in training courses at the Sindh Governor House. Governor Tessori personally welcomed him upon his arrival.
He highlighted the legacy of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA), stating, “Hazrat Umar (RA) used to patrol the streets at night to understand the condition of the people and ensure their needs were met.”
Mufti Usmani added, “Allah Almighty has granted Governor Kamran Tessori the opportunity to revive this noble tradition.”
He candidly shared that he initially had no intention of visiting the Governor House or meeting the Governor but decided to see Tessori’s work for himself.
The Governor met me several times and shared his vision, which I found revolutionary. I also learned about the 24-hour open-door policy where citizens' grievances are addressed, and this deeply impressed me,” he said.
Mufti Taqi Usmani further advised students to utilsze their talents for the welfare of the country and the nation.
He emphasised that success isn’t just about earning money but also contributing to the country’s development and lifting the society out of poverty and dependence.
