Govt announces 100,000 electric bikes for students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at empowering youth and promoting education in the province.
Speaking at a ceremony at FAST University Islamabad, she announced the distribution of 100,000 electric bikes (e-bikes) to students across Punjab.
The initiative is part of efforts to promote sustainable transportation and support students in their academic pursuits.
The Chief Minister also announced an increase in the Honhar Scholarship program, raising the annual stipend from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000.
Additionally, she revealed plans to offer international scholarships to students, enabling them to pursue higher education at globally renowned institutions.
As part of these efforts, scholarships have been awarded to 2,570 students from Rawalpindi Division, covering various disciplines to ease financial barriers for talented individuals.
Maryam Nawaz further disclosed plans to establish an education city in Lahore, designed to attract top global universities to set up campuses in Punjab.
This project aligns with her vision to enhance educational opportunities and foster international collaboration.
During her address, she urged students to remain committed to Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of serving the country and avoiding actions that harm its progress.
