Govt announces Hajj 2025 expenses for pilgrims

Ahead of Hajj 2025, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced two pilgrimage packages, covering comprehensive services, including comfortable, efficient travel and accommodation.

The authorities have categorised the packages into two options, a long package priced at Rs1,075,000 and a short package at Rs1,150,000.

Under the government Hajj Scheme, the traditional long stay will range from 38 to 42 days, while the short stay will be between 20 and 25 days. An additional cost of Rs55,000 will be charged for the Qurbani (sacrifice).

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that the short-listing process for the short-stay scheme was  completed. However, applications for the long-stay scheme are still being accepted.

Applications will be entertained on a first-come, first-served basis due to the limited availability of seats in the specific categories.

The ministry has also directed pilgrims to submit the third installment of Hajj payments, which will be collected from February 1 to 10. There are a limited number of seats remaining in the government Hajj scheme.

As per the announced criteria for dues submission,  Rs200,000 must be deposited along with the Hajj application.  The second installment of Rs400,000 must be submitted within 10 days of balloting, and the remaining amount must be paid by February 10.

Refunds will not be deducted if an application is withdrawn before the final submission date.

However, Rs50,000 will be deducted for withdrawals after the first installment, and Rs200,000 will be deducted if the third installment is not submitted on time.
