Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) leaders are not in favour of joining hands with PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif-led expected coalition government, sources said on Wednesday.
The proposal came forward by JUI-F seniour leaders during the meeting of the party's Central Executive Committee (ECE), led by chief Fazlur Rehman, on Tuesday.
In the Feb 8 polls, the JUI-F had managed to secure only four National Assembly seats, however, the lawmakers would not put their weight behind PML-N, sources claimed.
During the meeting, JUI-F bigwigs reviewed the claims of alleged rigging in elections and expressed concerns over the results.
According to sources, many leaders from Sindh and Balochistan suggested not to take oath of elected seats in protest against election manipulation.
Speaking to the media after first huddle, JUI-F spokesman Aslam Ghauri said the party has not reached the final decision yet, it would make a reasonable decision but “it has serious reservations over election results.”
“Before reaching the final decision the CEC will examine every aspect of elections,” he added.
However, the final decision will be made today (Wednesday) in the final session of the meeting.
