JUI-F's Mufti Kifayatullah injured, son and daughter killed in Malakand home shooting

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal's (JUI-F) local leader Mufti Kifayatullah was injured, while his son and daughter were killed in a shooting incident at his home in Malakand's Batkhela on Saturday.

Levies officials said that Mufti Kifayatullah, the district president of JUI-F, was injured in the firing incident.

As per initial investigation, the armed attack was carried out by Mufti Kifayatullah’s own son, who reportedly fled the scene after the attack.

The JUI-F leader’s wife also sustained injuries in the incident. Rescue teams shifted the victims to the District Headquarters Hospital, where hospital sources confirmed that Mufti Kifayatullah is out of danger and in a stable codition.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident. A search for the suspect has also been launched.
