An Additional Sessions Court in Karachi has sought arguments regarding jurisdiction and legal authority on a petition seeking the registration of a criminal case against U.S. President Donald Trump for alleged violations of international laws and Geneva Conventions following attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The application was submitted before the District and Sessions Court at Karachi City Court by Advocate Jamshed Ali Khawaja, who named Additional IG Karachi, SSP South, and the SHO of Docks Police Station as respondents in the case.

The petitioner has named Donald Trump as the accused.

The petitioner contends that Trump endangered global peace through criminal activities and violations of international and humanitarian law by targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities.

He also alleged that millions of Muslims and thousands of lawyers have suffered mental, physical, and financial harm as a result.

The court was informed that multiple written complaints were submitted to senior Karachi police officials, but no FIR was registered, nor was any statement recorded.

The petition urges the court to direct the police to record the petitioner’s statement and register an FIR under Section 154 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

The District Court referred the matter to the Additional Sessions Court for hearing.

The Additional Sessions Judge, after preliminary review, has asked the petitioner’s counsel to present arguments on the jurisdiction and admissibility of the plea. The hearing has been adjourned until July.
