The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that "very hot and dry weather" is expected to prevail across Sindh, including Karachi, with a maximum feels-like temperature of 39-42°C.
According to the regular advisory of Met Office, the daytime real temperature would range between 37-39°C with an 81 percent humidity level in the air on Wednesday.
“High temperature in October decreases humidity level,” said the Chief Meteorologist on Tuesday, while forecasting ease in weather conditions in the metropolis from October 27.
Weather expert Jawad Memon also predicted hot days in Karachi by the end of October.
“Karachi usually witnesses October as the third hottest month of the year with dry weather conditions, as it is a post-monsoon season,” the weatherman said.
“But this year we are experiencing a hot and humid October, and swelling feel-like temperature due to the increasing temperature at the surface of Arabian Sea,” he added while describing the aftermaths of climate change, severely impacting Pakistan.
The Met office said that the minimum temperature in the port city was recorded at 28°C, which is likely to go up to 38°C by the afternoon today.
The northwestern winds are blowing in the metropolis at a speed of 5 kilometres per hour. The recorded humidity level is 81 percent.
