Karachi's temperature expected to drop by 3°C today

Karachi is set to experience a colder day on Saturday, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting a drop of 3°C in temperature.
According to the forecast of the Met Office, during 24 hours, the weather is anticipated to be dry and wintry, while cold winds will prevail in the city.
It added that the 9°C lowest temperature was recorded yesterday, but the current predictions indicated a further drop of mercury by 3 degrees Celsius to 10°C in the port city.
However, the humidity level in the country also declined to 31 percent within the winds, which are blowing from the northwest direction at the speed of 12 kilometres per hour.
Apart from this, the weather would remain chill across the country, currently, parts of Balochistan, including Quetta and Qalat were witnessing a 5°C minimum temperature.
The Meteorological Department predicts that most parts of the country will remain cold and dry.
However, at the beginning of the week, the port city had recorded a drop in temperatures to single digits on Tuesday night, with the mercury dipping to 9°C at Karachi's Jinnah Terminal.
The PMD said a wintery wave has finally been felt. Gulistan-e-Jauhar recorded 10°C, while Shahra-e-Faisal recorded 12°C.
Maripur recorded a 12.5°C drop in mercury, while Bin Qasim port recorded 12.2°C.
