Karachi: Sharaf Ali Shah, Chairman of the Karachi Intermediate Board, revealed that several students in the board exams had submitted exam papers containing songs, stories, or just the question paper itself instead of appropriate answers.

In a conversation with the media, Sharaf Ali Shah explained that immediately upon taking charge, he formed an investigative committee to look into the results, which includes subject experts and a principal as the convenor.

He assured that no injustice would be tolerated against students and that a complaints cell had been set up to ensure students faced no issues.

He also mentioned holding a meeting with the head examiner, who confirmed that some students had written stories, songs, or simply the question paper in their answer sheets.

The Chairman further disclosed that one student had placed a 1,000 rupee note in the amswer shee5 with a note saying, "This is all I could manage, please pass me."

Following the release of the results for the 11th grade under the Karachi Intermediate Board, both students and parents, as well as political parties, had expressed concerns.

In response to these concerns, the board reduced the scrutiny fee by 50% for students.
