Khawaja Asif warns of possible election audit amid judiciary changes

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has expressed concerns that there is a possibility of general election 2024 audit after changes in the higher judiciary.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Khawaja Asif mentioned that when he first talked about the audit of election, he had received certain indications pointing toward it.

Asif stated that there is a fear that after a shift in the judiciary, an audit of the elections could take place. He hopes that this conflict does not escalate further, as the situation could become extremely serious.

“We are hearing about canceling the elections, and we will strongly defend against such a scenario,” said Khawaja Asif.

It’s worth noting that in a recent TV interview, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif revealed that there has been discussion about the possibility of declaring the elections void.

He also mentioned whispers that if a petition regarding the elections is filed in court by October, it would be dealt with accordingly.
