The parents of five-year-old Ayat Noor have welcomed a baby girl and named her Ayat Noor, in a poignant tribute to their daughter who died earlier this year.

Ayat Noor’s death had drawn widespread attention and public concern, with her case prompting renewed calls for stronger measures to protect children and ensure their safety.

The family’s decision to give their newborn the same name reflects their desire to keep the memory of their late daughter alive.

Political activist Irum Fatima Turk shared photographs of the newborn on social media and offered prayers for her health and safety.

She also expressed hope that the child will grow up in a safer Pakistan, where children are protected, treated with dignity and able to live free from fear.

The arrival of the newborn marks a bittersweet moment for the family, bringing new hope while keeping alive the memory of the daughter they lost.

Ayat Noor was a five-year-old girl from Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 10, 2026, after stepping outside her home to play.

After a 15-day search, her body was found in an abandoned well near University Road in Haripur on August 25, 2026.
