KP CM Afridi appeals to SC about Imran Khan’s access to medical facilities

CM KP Sohail Afridi approached the SC, urging the CJ to allow a meeting between Imran Khan and his personal healthy physicians.

The appeal came after rising concerns about Imran khan’s health. 

Speaking outside the SC, Afridi warned that PTI would announce its next step if the attempt to arrange a meeting with doctors through the court fail. He claimed that restrictions on Khan’s access to his doctors and family is a question on transparency on his treatment in jail.

This development comes after days of protests outside Adiala Jail by PTI-leaders for medical and family visits after which Imran was briefly taken to PIMS for a medical procedure. However, government ministers have confirmed that the procedure was short and that Khan’s vital signs remained stable.

Furthermore, PTI also demands public release of Imran’s medical reports and the permission for his personal doctors to examine him to ensure optimal healthcare for him in jail.
