Abdus Salam, one of the three victims injured in the Karsaz car accident,  was put on a ventilator after his condition deteriorated due to his injuries, according to family sources.

The victim, who is a resident of Korangi No 1, used to supply books in different areas of the port city on his motorbike.

According to his family members, the doctors have warned that the next two days are critical for his recovery.

They told the media that no government representative has reached out to them yet.

The horrific accident on August 19 sparked outrage in the country after Natasha Danish Iqbal, daughter-in-law of the business tycoon family, Gul Ahmed, crashed her car into several vehicles on a nearby lane at Karsaz road in Karachi, killing a father and daughter and injuring four others.

A new CCTV footage of the Karsaz car accident revealed that suspect Natasha Danish struck another car and bike on the same road.

She attempted to flee the scene by overspeeding and crashed into the motorbike of the father and daughter.

A case of the incident was registered at Bahadurabad police station on the complaint of the brother of the deceased man.

The Karsaz car accident case is currently pending in court. On Wednesday, the accused woman was sent on a judicial remand for 14 days.

Natasha Iqbal's lawyer initially claimed that she was mentally unstable and that the family was unaware of when she had taken the car from home.

However, she was declared “mentally fit” by the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) Department of Psychiatry.
