A massive gold reserve, estimated to be worth Rs800 billion, has been discovered beneath the land along the Indus River. This reserve is believed to contain at least 2.8 million tolas of gold, which has the potential to significantly boost Pakistan's economy.
Ibrahim Hasan Murad, a former caretaker minister of minerals, claimed on a social media platform that the gold reserves were discovered near the province of Sindh, stretching across a 32-kilometer area in Attock.
"This milestone marks a significant step towards unlocking Pakistan's mineral wealth, setting the stage for economic revitalisation and new opportunities for future generations," he wrote on his X handle.
He further added that the Geological Survey of Pakistan had confirmed the presence of the reserves after analysing samples collected from at least 127 locations.
In his statement, Ibrahim emphasized that these reserves amount to "2.8 million tolas of gold," a figure "confirmed through extensive research."
Highlighting the economic potential of the discovery, he stated, "The estimated value of 800 billion PKR will fuel economic growth."

Geological Survey of Pakistan said in its report that they identified at least nine blocs, which would be presented for bidding soon.
The former provincial minister for mines said that the Geological Survey of Pakistan also claimed the presence of zinc, silver, nickel, manganese, and copper along with gold.
Ibrahim Hassan Murad said that placer gold deposits have been explored up to 75 square kilometres.
