Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has advised India to send its cricket team to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025 to improve bilateral relations.
Talking to media in London alongside his daughter and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam, Nawaz stressed the importance of good relations between Pakistan and India, as well as with other neighboring countries.
Nawaz Sharif's statement comes after India's decision not to send its team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
He believes that if relations are strained, they should be improved, and people want to see the Indian cricket team play in Pakistan.
Additionally, Nawaz Sharif condemned the recent attack on former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa's vehicle in London, calling it a culture of hooliganism that has been promoted by the opposition party during their tenure.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) informed the PCB last week that India would not tour Pakistan for the eight-team tournament, leaving the fate of the event hanging in the balance.
Pakistan had previously rejected the option of a hybrid arrangement that would allow India to play their matches at neutral venues, for example in the United Arab Emirates.
