Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has forecasted dry and hot weather across Pakistan during the upcoming Eid holidays.

He noted on a private news channel that temperatures are steadily rising each day, leading to discomfort and health concerns among the population.

Sarfaraz stated that both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to remain consistent nationwide, adding that "next week will be the hottest week of the year."

A severe heatwave is affecting various regions of Pakistan, with some areas experiencing temperatures as high as 50°C.

"The Met Office has already issued a warning that a severe heatwave will persist in most plain areas of the country, with dusty winds and thunderstorms likely in some regions on Monday," he mentioned.

In contrast, Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to experience partly cloudy weather with scattered showers and strong winds, he added.

Citizens are advised to take measures to stay cool and hydrated, particularly during the peak heat of the day.
