Over 174,000 visitors throng tourist spots during Eid holidays

During the first two days of Eid-ul-Fitr, over 170,000 visitors flocked to tourist sites in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the tourism department reported on Friday.
Over 91,000 sightseers visited Galiyat, the most popular tourist destination.
Malam Jabba attracted more than 41,000 visitors during the two-day period. Naran, Kaghan, and Kumrat also saw a huge influx of tourists.
Tourism Advisor Zahid Chan Zaib mentioned a surge in tourist arrivals compared to last year. Travellers can access information through the Tourism Helpline.
He stated that the tourism police were deployed to key tourist spots to maintain law and order and provide assistance.
On the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr, Murree saw a large influx of vacationers, with over 7,000 private vehicles entering the city.
Despite the narrow roads, Rawalpindi's Chief Traffic Officer, Taimur Khan, assured that traffic flowed smoothly in Murree.
The weather department has forecast heavy thunderstorms in northern areas from today.
