Over 350,000 Pakistanis left country in six months of 2025

Amid rising unemployment, economic instability, and low wages, nearly 350,000 Pakistanis left the country during the first six months of this year.

Among those emigrating are not only highly educated individuals but also highly skilled professionals.

The growing outflow of doctors and nurses is beginning to strain the country's healthcare system.

According to the Arab news outlet Gulf News, in recent years, a significant number of Pakistani nurses have been migrating abroad in search of better employment opportunities.

Both male and female nurses are leaving the country for higher salaries, safer working conditions, and better professional growth, further weakening an already overburdened healthcare infrastructure.

Just like doctors and other technical professionals, nurses are being attracted by countries such as Gulf nations, the UK, and Canada, which offer competitive salaries and improved work environments.

Pakistani nurses are increasingly choosing to relocate to these countries in pursuit of a better future.
