Over 70 Pakistanis deported from seven countries

More than 70 Pakistanis were expelled from seven countries due to illegal stays and unethical practices, immigration department sources confirmed. 

Sources privy to the matter stated that following their extradition, at least 17 of them, including 12 from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were apprehended in Karachi and handed over to FIA's Anti Human Trafficking Circle

As many as 50 were deported from Saudi Arabia. Threek were blacklisted, four were expelled for begging, six were found involved in drug peddling, 27 were deported over violating the contracts, four for overstaying, two were deported for work evasion, two for forgery, and two for other crimes.

Similarly, one was deported from Sri Lanka over prohibited immigration, while the UAE extradited nine over drug peddling, missing passport, completing jail terms, and human trafficking.

According to immigration sources, Azerbaijan and Iraq each expelled one on overstay and immigration, while two were deported from Malaysia for being prohibited immigrants. 

 

 

Immigration sources said that one Pakistani was detained and sent back after being blacklisted in Italy and three from Senegal for human trafficking. Their custody was given to the Anti Human Trafficking Circle.

Earlier, on February 6, at least 139 Pakistani citizens were deported from Mauritania, Senegal, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other countries within the past 48 hours. Among them, 15 individuals were arrested in Karachi.

The action was taken over at the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in order to halt the increasing human trafficking practices from the country after the shipwreck incidents occurred in European waters in the last two months.
