Pakistan bans drones nationwide over security concerns

The Ministry of Interior has announced a nationwide ban on flying drones, citing security concerns and the need to ensure public safety.

According to the ministry’s notification, drones will not be allowed to operate over commercial or recreational areas.

Authorities stated that misuse of drones could pose serious security threats, which prompted this decision.

All provincial governments have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the ban, while relevant agencies are tasked with monitoring and enforcing compliance within their jurisdictions.

Government sources indicated that the situation will continue to be reviewed and additional measures may be taken if necessary.

The Ministry of Interior has also urged citizens to respect the ban and follow the law.
