The Ministry of Religious Affairs, Pakistan has issued a new health advisory prohibiting pilgrims with serious medical conditions from undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
According to the advisory, individuals suffering from advanced-stage cancer, severe heart disease, or heart failure will not be permitted to travel.
Pilgrims with chronic kidney disorders requiring dialysis, serious liver disease, or severe chronic respiratory conditions are also barred from participation.
Additionally, those with severe neurological disorders and pregnant women beyond 26 weeks gestation will be unable to perform Hajj.
The ministry emphasised that submitting fake or inaccurate medical certificates will result in strict legal action.
All pilgrims are required to have vaccinations against high fever, influenza, and polio before departure.
Authorities warned that violations of Saudi regulations will be met with strict enforcement, urging pilgrims to prioritise their health and comply fully with travel rules.
