Pakistan has been ranked as the 17th most generous nation globally, according to the World Giving Report 2025, which was published by the UK-based Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) in collaboration with the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP).

The report evaluated generosity across 101 countries using three primary indicators: the willingness to assist strangers, financial contributions, and the amount of time dedicated to volunteering.

Pakistan excelled in all categories, especially in monetary donations, where its citizens were ranked 17th worldwide based on the percentage of income donated.

The World Giving Report 2025 emphasizes Pakistan’s deeply ingrained philanthropic traditions, which encompass both formal charitable organizations and informal support systems.

These initiatives are vital in areas such as healthcare, education, disaster relief, and poverty reduction.

Additionally, the report highlights a wider global trend: economic difficulties have not diminished the spirit of generosity. Pakistan’s achievements are viewed as a powerful illustration of social resilience and shared responsibility in times of adversity.

Since its inception in 2001, the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy has been dedicated to fostering indigenous philanthropy by enhancing transparency, certifying nonprofits, and encouraging public-private partnerships.

Through research and strategic collaboration, PCP seeks to fortify the nation’s philanthropic framework and expand the reach of charitable efforts.
