As Israel's relentless military offensive continues in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of countless innocent Palestinians, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar strongly condemned the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) for targeting hospitals. He warned that the ongoing violence threatens to destabilise the entire region.
Dar stated that the deliberate attacks on hospitals not only destroy Gaza's already fragile infrastructure but also violate "human dignity" and endanger the lives of civilians in critical need of medical care.
He further criticised Israel for persistently violating international laws by launching strikes on humanitarian zones and shelters.
Highlighting the worsening humanitarian crisis, Dar pointed out that one in every five Palestinians in Gaza is facing severe hunger, with famine-like conditions rapidly intensifying.
Calling on the international community, Dar urged world powers and global institutions to take decisive action to halt Israel’s military aggression and end the campaign of forced displacement of Palestinians from their homeland.

He also reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering support for the Palestinian struggle for liberation, reiterating the country's firm stance on the immediate cessation of Israeli occupation and injustice.
After starving Palestinians for more than 10 weeks and pushing Gaza to the brink of famine, Israel announced on Monday that “basic aid” will be allowed into the besieged enclave to prevent mass starvation. The decision followed mounting international pressure.
As of May 3, at least 57 Palestinians, most of them children, have died from starvation, and more than 9,000 have been hospitalised with acute malnutrition.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 53,573 Palestinians have been killed and 121,688 injured in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.
