A group of Pakistani pilgrims performing Hajj 2026 have expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as poor arrangements, according to media reports.

The pilgrims alleged that despite paying around Rs1.2 million each for the pilgrimage, they were facing substandard facilities, including poor accommodation, delayed transport services, and low-quality food.

They complained that beds were inadequate, transport was not arriving on time, and in some cases burnt meals were served. The pilgrims said they felt neglected and that no one was addressing their grievances.

Responding to the complaints, Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that authorities were not previously aware of the issues being raised.

The pilgrims also questioned the role of the bureaucracy managing Hajj operations in Saudi Arabia, expressing frustration over the conditions and comparing their experience to confinement rather than a religious pilgrimage.
