A Pakistan International Airline (PIA) female flight attendant on board PK-789 was detained upon arrival at Toronto airport for carrying multiple passports belonging to several individuals.

According to news sources, unrelated passports were found in the possession of the air hostess, identified as Hina Sani, who is known to have a connection with a prominent Pakistani singer and is a social media influencer.

Travelling with a passport that does not belong to you constitutes an international offense.

Earlier, several warnings were reportedly issued to the air hostess for bringing contraband to Canada.

Hina Sani was accompanied by seven extra flight attendants, who were declared ‘no flyers’ by the airline, on the flight from Lahore to Toronto.

The DGM Flight Services granted special permission for this crew, which was a violation of standard procedure.

After questioning the other two flight attendants onboard, Canadian authorities allowed them to go to the hotel.

PIA spokesperson Abdullah Khan maintained that the airline is aware of the recent incident and is in close communication with Canadian authorities.

“We are offering our full cooperation and will comply with any legal proceedings,” he added.
