Pillion riding banned in Karachi for five days

In a bid to avoid any untoward incident, the Sindh government has imposed a ban on pillion riding in various districts of the province for five days.
The Sindh Home Department, on the request of IGP Ghulam Nabi Memon, has imposed a ban on pillion riding due to Chup Tazia and Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions.
The restriction will remain effective in Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana and Sukkur from September 13 to 17.
Chup Tazia Juloos will be held across the province on Friday (September 13).
Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH) will be celebrated by Muslims with religious fervor and zeal across the country on September 17.
Earlier, the federal government announced September 17 as a public holiday on account of Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH).
