PM Shehbaz to 'personally cover' expenses for Saudi Arabia visit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on his first major foreign visit to Saudi Arabia today since taking office, with him and his delegation personally financing their expenses for the trip.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar confirmed in a statement that the Prime Minister will travel via commercial flight and personally bear the cost of the journey.
On his stay from April 6 to 8, he will also perform Umrah and offer prayers at the Masjid Nabwi (PBUH) in Madina.
He will be accompanied by Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Defence, Finance, Information, and Economic Affairs.
The premiere is scheduled to engage in talks with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman regarding matters of mutual interest and international developments.
PM Shehbaz will extend an invitation for the Saudi Crown Prince to visit Pakistan.
The government has formulated a detailed strategy to secure an investment exceeding $1 billion from Saudi Arabia for the Reko Diq Copper-Gold Project situated in Balochistan’s Chaghi district.
