The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has instructed universities to carry out a pre-hoc analysis ahead of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT), scheduled for Sunday, October 26.
A pre-hoc analysis involves evaluation of MDCAT assessment items to maintain accuracy and identify potential laws.
The PMDC further stated that universities must ensure candidates receive their admit cards or roll number slips at least seven days before the examination. This will allow students sufficient time for preparation and verification of their credentials.
It is to be noted that, every year MDCAT undergoes controversies for providing wrong answers to multiple choice questions. Even PMDC itself accepted that grace marks were not awarded to candidates as the difficulty level of the examination did not align with the established criteria.
The PMDC has directed universities that the development, pre hoc analysis and printing of MDCAT question paper will be carried out with high standards so that paper aligns with PMDC standards to avoid any further inconvenience.
