Polling starts with delay in some parts of Pakistan

Pakistan has entered in 12th general elections after months of delay, polling began at 8 am and will last until 5pm. However, some constituencies in Karachi and other parts of Pakistan failed in commencing polling yet.
Some polling stations in Karachi faced delays in initiating the process of casting votes as presiding officers did not reach their duties.
According to the reports in NA-240, a constituency in Lyari, voters have to face problems where the ballet boxes were sealed lately.
However, the polling process could not start at NA-250 of Karachi as well, where polling staff had not reached there yet.
Reports said the presiding officer was yet to reach the polling station number 262-265 of Karachi and long queues of voters were seen outside the polling site.
Besides, polling equipment is available at NA-246, PS-77 of Karachi but the staff has not reached yet. A large number of voters are outside the polling stations.
Polling could not start yet due to unsealed ballot boxes and non-arrival of polling agents in polling station No. 247 in Constituency NA-232 Malir in Karachi, while polling stations were also closed in Constituency NA-238 and Provincial Constituency PS-102 of Karachi.
Despite the start of the polling time in Jamshoro, the polling process could not start at most of the polling stations in Jamshoro.
Moreover, polling has been started with delay in NA-48 of Shahzad Town, where voters are being seen outside the polling station.
Today, over 128 million voters will exercise their right to vote across the country, about 54% of the total registered voters are male and 46% are female voters.
As many as 90,675 polling stations were established across the country.
