Responding to criticism of Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz and Pakistan People's Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Hafiz Hamdullah, has said, "Why is the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party in trouble over the meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Hafiz Hamdullah was reacting to the statements of PML-N's Malik Ahmed and PPP's Faisal Kundi. Hamdullah questioned the hurryness of both the parties on the meeting. "The game has just begun."

He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is firm on his position that the establishment should not interfere in politics.

Regarding the meeting between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the PTI delegation, Hafiz Hamdullah questioned, "Why is the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and the PPP in trouble? The PPP leadership continued to request a meeting with Imran Khan in jail."

Hafiz Hamdullah said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has not insulted the major parties. Both parties insulted General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa by giving him an extension, disrespecting the constitution and the parliament. Did both parties not give a 3-year extension to Qamar Javed Bajwa? Why did they give it? If an extension is given, the Movement of No Confidence can also be launched based on their statements.

He asked PPP to explain who influenced her to withdraw from the PDM. JUI-F opposed the implementation of the extension. He said that Malik Ahmad Khan cannot challenge Maulana Fazlur Rehman; someone from the top leadership should come forward.

It should be noted that the political scenario in the country is heating up with the thawing of relations between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, and the recent meeting between the PTI delegation and Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Both parties' meeting and Maulana Fazlur Rehman's interviews have drawn criticism from PML-N and PPP.
