Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Malik Zaheer Abbas Khokhar said that Punjab Police registered an FIR against him for burning an effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally held to celebrate the Pakistan Army’s successful retaliatory strike against India.
Speaking on a television program, Khokhar was asked whether PTI’s decision to send a separate delegation abroad could undermine the government’s diplomatic efforts.
In response, he criticised the government for discriminating against PTI workers.

Khokhar said he organised a celebratory event at Liberty Chowk in Lahore to honour the Pakistan Army’s response to Indian aggression.
During the event, Modi’s effigy was burned as a symbolic protest, following which an FIR was filed against him.
“They registered an FIR against me, two PTI MPAs, and other party workers,” he said, adding that he has video evidence of the event along with copies of the FIR.
