PTI protests outside IMF HQ to push for its election audit demand

WASHINGTON: A protest was organized by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) outside the offices of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in the United States of America (US) on Friday.
The demonstrators, comprising members of PTI, called for stringent conditions to be imposed on Pakistan before any loans were granted by the IMF. Their demands included the implementation of fair election results and investigations into allegations of electoral fraud.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has lashed out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests outside the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund headquarters in the United States (US), terming it “anti-nationalist behaviour.”
Addressing the media in Islamabad, the information minister said the country was not created for the agenda on which the PTI was acting. He slammed that a “handful of miscreants” protesting outside the WB and IMF headquarters in the US.
