Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former minister, Murad Saeed, has successfully cleared a significant hurdle in his bid for the Senate elections as his nomination papers have received approval from the Appellate Tribunal.

Notably, the Appellate Tribunal has dismissed all eight objections raised against Murad Saeed, affirming the authenticity of his nomination papers.

Specifically, the verdict highlights that Murad Saeed's signature on the attestation and endorsement sections is genuine, and he has duly fulfilled his obligation by paying the penalty amount as required by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Moreover, the written judgment emphasizes the fundamental democratic principle that even individuals facing legal challenges or being labeled as fugitives maintain the right to participate in electoral processes. It firmly establishes that the mere status of absconding cannot serve as grounds for the rejection of nomination papers. Additionally, Murad Saeed's transparent disclosure of his assets further bolsters the legitimacy of his candidacy.

Furthermore, it is noted that Murad Saeed's nomination papers were submitted through a valid power of attorney arrangement, adding another layer of legitimacy to the entire process.

This meticulous adherence to legal procedures underscores the integrity of the electoral system and upholds the principles of fairness and inclusivity in the democratic process.
