In a bid to devote more strength to bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is likely to visit Pakistan this month.
Sources said MBS is expected to land in Pakistan between May 10 to 15.
MBS’s visit announcement came after Primer Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Arabia’s bigwigs in their country during a special meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The visit of the de facto ruler will pave the way for much-needed investment from Riyadh. It would attract Saudi investment worth $5 billion in Pakistan.
The Saudi leader, who last travelled to Pakistan in February 2019, was scheduled to visit Islamabad in late 2022, but the plan was cancelled due to a change of army command.
However, the dates of the anticipated visit have not yet been announced, but sources said that the Saudi ruler has agreed to travel to Pakistan on the invitation of PM Sharif.
Previously, a 50-member high-level Saudi delegation led by Deputy Investment Minister of Saudi Arabia Ibrahim Almubarak had come to Pakistan for a two-day visit and explored several opportunities for investment and trading in Pakistan.
Pakistan has been taking effective measures to attract billions in investment from Gulf countries particularly from Saudi Arabia and UAE.
