Security forces have killed 24 terrorists in a series of IBOs in KP’s Bannu district and surrounding areas, according to ISPR.

The operations were conducted over the past 24 hours following a rise in terrorist attacks targeting police personnel and civilians in the region.

ISPR said the operations were launched to track down those responsible for recent attacks and dismantle their support networks.

The military stated that the forces engaged militants in intense exchanges of fire, resulting in the deaths of 24 terrorists.

The development comes after a recent vehicle-borne suicide attack in Bannu that targeted a police facility, followed by an armed confrontation with security personnel.

PM Shehbaz praised the security forces and law enforcement agencies for their actions.

ISPR said security operations in the area will continue as part of the broader “Azm-e-Istehkam” counterterrorism initiative.

Bannu and other districts of KP have witnessed increased security challenges in recent months, with authorities continuing intelligence-led operations against militant groups operating in the region.
