Security forces have killed 47 India-backed militants in separate operations in the Zhob district of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
The military's media wing said in a statement that the troops eliminated 33 terrorists, who were attempting to cross into Pakistan through the border with Afghanistan in Zhob's Sambaza area on the night between August 7-8.
Subsequently, another 14 militants were killed in a clearance operation in the surrounding region, the ISPR said, adding that weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the killed terrorists.
"The security forces remain committed to secure the nation’s frontiers and thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Pakistan," it said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for successfully preventing infiltration of terrorists.
“Our soldiers risked their lives to protect the country and successfully foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists,” the prime minister added.
Pakistan has experienced a rise in cross-border attacks since the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, the country saw 78 militant attacks in June, killing at least 100 people, including 53 security personnel and 39 civilians.
