Pakistan’s security forces thwarted a major infiltration attempt by India-sponsored “Fitna al-Khawarij” terrorists along the Pak-Afghan border in Zhob, killing 33 militants in a decisive overnight operation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
According to the military’s media wing, a large movement of terrorists was detected between the night of August 7 and 8 in the Sambaza area of Zhob district, Balochistan.
The group, affiliated with a proscribed terrorist outfit backed by Indian intelligence, was trying to illegally cross into Pakistan from Afghanistan.
Responding with swift and precise action, Pakistani troops successfully neutralized 33 militants and recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
