Sindh govt announces Oxford University scholarships for deserving students

The Sindh government has announced scholarship opportunities for six students to study at the prestigious Oxford University of London. In this regard,a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed, paving the way for these students' brighter future.
The MOU was signed in London under the initiative of the Bhutto scholarship programme, in the presence of the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
“Scholarships will be provided to three female and three male students, and applicants will be selected with the collaboration of Oxford Pakistan,” said Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
He added that these scholarships were being provided to students by the Sindh government for years.
Earlier, while addressing at Oxford University, former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari stated that he sees democracy as the biggest revenge, as his mother did not teach to seek vengeance.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that despite the restrictions imposed on women, Benazir Bhutto became the Prime Minister of the country. She paved the way for women to come forward in Pakistan, and now the Chief Minister of Punjab is also a woman.
In March 2024, under the auspices of the Sindh Education Endowment Fund, 3,157 new scholarships were approved for the academic year 2023-2024.
The decision was made during a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Sindh Education Endowment Fund, chaired by the Minister of Education, Sindh, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, held at the Basic Education Program Office.
