The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced on Thursday that no gas loadshedding will be carried out at sehr, iftar during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement, the utility said that it would supply gas only between 3:00am to 9:00am (Sehr) and 3:00pm to 10:00pm (Iftar).

However, consumers in Sindh and Balochistan will be restricted to only 13 hours of gas supply.

During a recent meeting on Ramazan price controls, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah instructed power distribution companies to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during sehr and iftar times.

Pakistan is expected to observe the first day of Ramadan on Tuesday, March 12th.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet in Islamabad on Monday to officially confirm the sighting of the crescent moon.

Every year, Muslims around the world observe the holy month of Ramazan by fasting from sunrise to sunset for thirty days.
