Tump AC Hanif Noorzai abducted from Balochistan’s Kech district

Tump Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hanif Noorzai was reportedly abducted from Balochistan’s Kech district on Wednesday.
Unidentified armed men kidnapped the AC, who was stationed in Tump, a town located near the Iranian border, media reports said, quoting Kech Deputy Commissioner Bashir Ahmed Barich.
The official said that Noorzai was en route from Quetta to Tump on Wednesday morning, but did not share further information.
Noorzai, who hailed from Quetta, has previously held the position of Assistant Commissioner in various parts of Balochistan.
In a similar incident in September 2016, Asad Khan Tareen, son of then-Local Government Minister Sardar Mustafa Tareen, was rescued after being kidnapped months earlier in May that yar.
Militants had abducted Tareen from Pishin town on May 21 as he was returning from Cadet College Pishin, where he worked as a warden. He was reportedly taken across the border into Afghanistan.
