Fish trader gunned down in broad daylight in Karachi

A 45-year-old man, identified as Farhan Qasim, was shot dead in Karachi's Sachal area on Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Farhan Qasim, was shot and killed by unknown assailants on a motorcycle while he was out buying school uniforms for his children.
According to eyewitnesses and CCTV footage, Qasim had stepped out of his vehicle and was standing on the roadside when two men on a motorcycle approached him.
A scuffle ensued, and one of the assailants pulled out a gun and shot Qasim in the head. The attackers then fled the scene on their motorcycle.
Police officials have confirmed that Qasim was a resident of Scheme 33 Capital Society and was a father of three. He was a prominent fish trader with a large business in the fisheries sector.
"We are investigating the motive behind the killing, but initial reports suggest that it may have been a targeted attack," said Inspector Aurangzeb Khattak, SHO Sachal.
The police have obtained CCTV footage of the incident and are reviewing it to identify the perpetrators. The victim's body has been shifted to a nearby private hospital for autopsy.
The incident has raised concerns about the rising crime rate in Karachi and the lack of effective law enforcement. The police have assured that they are working to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The police are investigating the incident from all angles, including the possibility of a personal vendetta or a business rivalry. The victim's family and friends have been questioned, and the police are reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the attackers.
