A weather expert has issued a fresh weather forecast for the port city during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays.

According to weatherman Owais Haider, Karachi is expected to receive drizzle on June 13 (Thursday).

However, hot and humid weather will prevail in the metropolis during the Eid festivities, he predicted.

Haider said the monsoon is likely to commence in Karachi at the end of June or the beginning of July.

The monsoon spell in the city will continue till August.

The weather analyst further informed that despite the hot and humid weather, Karachi would remain safe from the heatwave, but a high level of humidity could raise the feels-like temperature in the city.

The humidity level in the air is anticipated to go up from 50 to 60 percent in day time on Eid day, while it could be raised up to 80 to 90 percent at night.

The Pakistan Meteorologists Department (PMD) recorded 36 degrees Celsius temperature in Karachi today (Monday).

The temperature is expected to be raised to 37 degrees Celsius in the daytime on June 10.
